STRAITJACKET SIRENS
Straitjacket Sirens is a new cabaret conceived and written by Pamela Eberhardt (Family Fries, This Show is Surrounded by True Events), directed by Parissa Koo (School for Love, Most Likely To…), and brought to you by The Unknown Artists (A Perfectly Still Curveball, BIGFOOT! The Musical - 2024 WINNER Fringe Award for Musicals & Operas).
This 90s-jukebox cabaret is a darkly funny, razor-sharp exploration of a group of women confined to a mental hospital. Each one is dismissed by their misogynistic therapist as they attempt to reclaim their voices with the help of a passionate activist… and through music! Grunge, pop, R&B, and alt-rock anthems collide channeling iconic 90s hits into acts of rebellion, survival, and hard-won solidarity.
