HOLLYWOOD FRINGE IN MAY + JUNE
The Hollywood Fringe staff works year-round in support of independent artists, through training programs, artist funding and touring support.
Every spring, we expand our operations team in support of producing the annual Hollywood Fringe Festival in June. From organizing artists, venues + other partnerships, to hosting events, our team is in full swing.
Each June’s festival brings 400+ productions from thousands of artists (from Los Angeles + beyond) in over 25 venues in Central Hollywood. 100% of proceeds from ticket sales go back to artists – over 5 million dollars since 2010!
In addition to organizing the festival programming, the Fringe presents boutique programming in June through the following programs.
FRINGE CENTRAL + FRINGE BOX/SHOP
All are welcome at Fringe Central! To help bring the community together, we have a pop-up space for events, our Central Box Office + more. Come meet, celebrate, and support your community at your social home this May & June. You’re not going to want to miss this new space and its events!
Fringe Central is the headquarters for audience members, as well. Our Box/Shop help desk is there to navigate the enormous festival with ticket sales support, help browsing + choosing shows and selling our official festival merch.
The Hollywood Fringe Box/Shop not only exists in-person but online, processing 47,000+ tickets and handling over 2,000 email requests from artists + audience members alike.
BUSKING + OUTREACH EVENTS
The Hollywood Fringe wants our artists to sell as many tickets as possible, and the best way to get that is through WORD OF MOUTH! Our staff arranges between 10-15 unique opportunities for artists to perform at local farmers markets, events and even in busking spots like Hollywood + Highland to get folks in to see their work.
Outreach events include the popular "Fringe Runway" - a Fringe fashion show celebrating the work of our costume designers, and "Fringe Lightning Round" a fast-paced media event that helps artists spread the word about their show.
CABARET
Fringe Cabaret is the only official Hollywood Fringe Festival sampler platter bringing you the best in comedy, magic, music, storytelling, dance, circus, and all around good fun. With over 400 shows performing at Fringe, deciding what to see can be a challenge! Fringe Cabaret provides our community, as well as the general public, an opportunity to get a taste of what Fringe shows have to offer before committing to the full meal. There are new shows featured in every performance, special guest performers, and raffles for show tickets and swag! Plus it’s all FREE!
FRINGE INDUSTRY
At the Hollywood Fringe Festival, artists are at the center of the community. We believe artists have the power to change the world with their stories and voices, which is why we want the work of our participants to go beyond our festival and community, and reach/make an impact on wider audiences and communities.
The Discover Fringe program seeks to connect participating artists with members of the international theatre, film and television industries to take their shows beyond the Hollywood Fringe Festival stages.
