We believe the best ways to experience the Fringe are by bike or on foot—get exercise and protect the environment! A lot of venues are within walking distance of each other, so it’s possible to see four or five shows in close proximity. Use this website and our venue map (click map view instead of list view) to plan your day accordingly.
Most of all, be safe! We recommend always walking with someone else whenever possible, especially at night.
Parking in Hollywood can be difficult on evenings, weekends and street-cleaning days, so plan in advance to allow extra time. Always make sure to read the posted signs. There are many pay-to-park lots with flat rates from $8 to $15.
PARKING -- FRINGE HQ
Fringe HQ has 4 hour, validated parking for $3 at the Ovation Center. Stop by our box office to buy tickets in person or catch a cabaret, and don't forget to pick up a validation card from our front desk to get the discounted parking rate.
Enter the underground parking garage from Highland Ave. in front of Loews Hollywood or on Orange Court between Hollywood Blvd. and Franklin Ave.
PARKING -- CENTRAL VENUES
Our Central venues are mostly walking distance from each other (5-15 minutes), with a few outliers that may be a 20+ minute walk.
905 Cole: Street Parking, non permit neighborhood. There is a pay lot across the street, but it is pricey. Do not park in Milk's lot, they will tow people.
Hudson Theatre: Use our fabulous valet service! $10/car
Los Angeles Perfoming Arts Conservatory (Promenade Playhouse): There is metered parking on McCadden
McCadden Theater: Highland Ave has good parking after 7pm.
Theatre of NOTE: There are a couple of lots that are close by, one on the corner of Santa Monica and Cahuenga in the CNN Building, there is also a parking lot directly across from the theatre in an old jack in the box. There are a number of streets with meters, nearby, we generally use the ones by Staples for parking and if you need more there is free street parking on and around Fountain St.
The Broadwater: Parking is metered on the corner of Lillian and Santa Monica until 7pm; everything South of our block is unrestricted.
The Hobgoblin Playhouse: Taking an Uber or carpooling is a great option, but street parking is available at meters, or in the neighborhood.
The Madnani Theater: Taking an Uber or carpooling is a great option, limited street parking available.
Stephanie Feury: Best parking is North of Melrose. Watch meters.
Upstairs @ El Centro: Neighborhood parking is usually ideal.
PARKING -- WEST VENUES
Most of our West Venues are a quick drive or bus ride from each other.
Actors Company (Let Live Theater, The Other Space Theatre & The Little Theater): There should be ample street parking - watch out for signs.
Greenway Court Theatre: Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to the theatre. It closes 30 minutes after the performance.
Lounge on Melrose: Street parking within the neighborhoods is the best option.
Zephyr Theatre: Street Parking Meters on Melrose Ave free after 8pm, Vista Ave 2 hour parking till midnight on one side and 8pm on the other. All day parking on Clinton and Waring. CVS on Gardner and Melrose has a structure (not sure pricing or timing). Nearby restaurants have weekend evening public valet service. Disabled Person Parking at American Vintage on the corner of Gardner/Melrose in their parking lot (half a block walk to the theatre)
PARKING -- EAST VENUES
Our East venues have two clusters of venues that are within quick walking distance. There are also a few outliers. Check the map to plan your quick routes between each venue!
LA Radiator & Automotive: Best way: Take the Metro Red (B) line to the Santa Monica station! Best street parking on Lockwood, Madison or Burns Avenues, all free.
Los Angeles City College: Use either the underground parking lot (Lot 3) or park on Heliotrope and follow the signs to the on-campus theater building. There is also a metro station at Santa Monica and Vermont Avenue with easy access to campus.
The Jaxx Theatre & Studios: There is street parking, if you can find it. If you cannot, there is a small lot at 1110 N. Western Ave.
The Yard Theater: There is both non-metered and 1-hour metered parking available on Melrose Ave. and nearby residential streets. The adjacent N. Heliotrope Drive has several 1-hour meters as well as 60+ six-hour meters that run the length of Heliotrope. Starting at 8pm parking meters no longer charge, and loading zones can be parked in. No overnight parking.
Thymele Arts: There is a paid underground parking garage located at 1110 N. Western Ave. Once you park - you can walk around the corner to the Santa Monica entrance (the Western entrance is closed) - we are on the second floor. There is elevator access.
