Great performance by a gifted actress relating her relationship with her father to her issues with men. Very touching moments and some laughs. JJ is obviously a talent. I enjoyed the way props were presented in this show—no spoilers but it was cleverly put together....

I had no idea what this show was about as a friend invited me to see it, and what an amazing surprise. It was all fantastic: the writing, acting, direction, set and sound design, and lighting transformed a simple black box theater into a creepy, evocative, and thrilling tale that kept me hooked from the beginning....

What a magnificent piece! Shelley Cooper shook me to my core! I get chills just thinking about being in that theatre. The power of this play is overwhelming; raw, bold, unforgettable. I learned so much without feeling like I was “in class.” Rain made her own family’s experience relatable and timely. This play is right on time in this cultural moment. It acknowledges that as white folks we need to get a clue. And we are works in progress; we need to look at our empathetic evolution. And the songs! The musicians are wonderful too. Rain is such an amazing songwriter, too. Brava!...

"Becoming" was such a fantastic ride - comedy, mind reading, magic, and heart. I was in chills during one of the mentalism performances, and was at the edge of my seat thinking "How did he do that?!". If you're looking for a laugh, looking to be thoroughly entertained, and believe in magic, then I highly suggest you watch this show! Songs, mentalism, puppets, and a heartfelt message - this show has it all. ...

This production was an inspiring, mixed media performance integrating live theatre with film, all done by one talented girl, ROXY! She had original music, dance, monologues, jokes, comedy, and raw honest truth all throughout the production. If you’re a creative in LA, or anyone chasing a dream, this show will touch and inspire you. She really put together stunning costumes and high production value into this show. Most of all, she played at least 10 different characters all herself and each one w...

Don't go to this humorous take on the world of psychic mediums if you expect to really have your mind read. It's more of a generalized look at the ways in which readings can take place from your palm to your aura to tarot cards. Lots of improv needed to keep up with all the possibilities of asking strangers to participate with her onstage.
But at least half of the time centers around the sexual antics between she and her husband who keeps time for the 5-minute readings. And with each of her "...

Deedee and Davonna are a powerhouse duo. I was riveted from beginning to end. Their bond was palpable, their performances electric, and not a single moment felt false. The emotional tension and looming danger of the play lay bare how women are so often trapped in cycles of violence, and how the very systems meant to protect them, including family, can fail them.
To me, Dolores is a deeply feminist work, not because it waves a banner, but because it tells a devastatingly human story. A story a...
