mainstream! tomorrow! dead!

lissa rivera · June 22, 2026 certified reviewer
No doubt the most chaotic show at Fringe. A punk satire on government, art festivals, and the circus of self-promotion. We are living through such an absurd moment that it was more accurate than news that tries to make sense of it all. I saw it once, but wish I saw it twice. ... full review

I was beaming the whole time! It is so easy to love Sister Bernadette as soon as she signs up for the open mic and you're just rooting for her non-stop throughout the whole show. I am not a religious person, but Sister Bernadette made me believe in god. ... full review

The Art of Reassurance

kirk anthony bellagio · June 22, 2026 certified reviewer
The cast, crew, and creative team nailed this out of the park; Joshua’s unsettling and confrontational writing is elevated by meticulous choices in costume, physicality, and scenic design all to tell a unique perspective on the current loneliness epidemic. The cast walked a tightrope between exaggerated comedy and deep introspection that created a beautiful, engaging piece that gives you something to chew on long after you’re out the door.... full review

POSTER CHILD: How Charlie's Angels Kicked My Ass Out Of The Closet

kerri van auken · June 22, 2026 certified reviewer
So funny, so touching a wonderful nostalgia bomb performed by super talented Dave Pavao. Excellent storytelling, deft solo character work. Even if I did not have a personal affinity to this generation (and my own Charlie’s Angels obsession) I think Poster Child is a must see story of self acceptance and coming out.... full review

Doofus takes aim at the absurdity of landlords through a character who is completely unexpected. Totally committed, high-energy, dumb, and fun, the show embraces its ridiculousness with confidence and never lets up. A delightfully silly piece of clowning.... full review

Confessions of a Pregnant Stripper

amy veltman · June 22, 2026 certified reviewer
Megan is a magnetic performer you just want to spend time with, no matter what she's talking about, but she packs unexpected hilarity, insights, and depth into this brief show about the contradictions inherent in being a feminist stripper who's expecting, but not quite getting what she expected. ... full review

Amazing Graves

I thoroughly enjoyed Amazing Graves. Being billed as "One Cemetery - Two Plots" was a great concept. Both stories were very original and wonderfully acted. I was more drawn to Our Cemetery for the simple fact that all 5 actors were within my same age group. It was so inspiring to see these mature actors hitting it out of the park all in their prime. ... full review
