Unlike Mr. Blaha’s previous three editions of his one-man, one-Mike (see what I did there) shows, this one was neither as scatalogical as his professorial takes on sexual double entendres nor as “Road to Morocco”-ish as his Digital Nomad travelogue of 2025. This show made me laugh my ass off! It was an interesting look at different relationships and relationship styles portrayed through a very sitcom-esque style! Very fun! I’m always a little cautious about one-person shows built around someone’s personal life. Fictional solo pieces usually excite me more because they have a little more room to surprise. I could not have been more wrong. Army Brat is funny, heartfelt, and consistently engaging. Kelly Mullis. takes what could have been a familiar autobiographical story and turns it into something genuinely compelling. If you're a fan of one-person theatre, this is absolutely worth your time. The Great Marzini is a lovable old timey magician who has several tricks up their sleeves. It's a one-person show, yet it felt very full - from the leg tricks to the puppet show and singing, it was a true magick trick!
