D.A.F.U.Q. was honestly one of the most unique and engaging shows I’ve watched. I was really impressed by the acting the use of the small space throughout the show. This is definitely one of the best one-person shows I’ve seen, and I would highly recommend it to others because it offers a different perspective on the characters’ experiences in such a creative and meaningful way. Trapped is a one man show with an overarching framing device of getting trapped in an elevator resulting in reflection of the events of the previous day leading up to the elevator incident. Much of the show is compromised of vignettes told from the perspective of a wide variety various characters introduced during that previous day. I had a really good time at LA Noir Radio. It had a great combo of being genuinely funny, easy to follow, and full of personality. The show pulls you into the world of 1940s radio immediately, and before I knew it, 75 minutes had flown by. There were plenty of laughs and surprises. From the moment Cara stepped on stage to "my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. . . " the audience was with her. Cara helps us understand what it's like being a woman in a larger body and manages to poke fun at herself with photos and jokes without sliding into a kind of self-deprecation that would undermine her very triumphant message. THIS SHOW IS SO SPECIAL! Rachel's background in theatre coupled with her very present performance delivers a polished and inviting show. Knowing the premise of the show, I was going in clutching my Kleenex, but The Do Over is buoyant and full of joy. I was crying from the heartfelt and the comedic moments. This is the kind of show that makes you want to tell your loved ones that you care about them, and that's exactly what I did on my drive home.... full review
