Christine Dickinson's Mother is a solo piece of theater that addresses grief, the rat race of our society and her relationship with her mother. I admire her creative approach to using social media profiles and reels to demonstrate the pressures and expectation of society. Micki Maxwell is such a powerhouse character delivered with spontaneity and bile (and if you see this show, you'll know what a compliment that is). Shayna's character work here is so strong, her voice is amazing, and the relationship developed between Micki and her pianist Dimitri (played by Jonathan) is hilarious. Dimitri is also such an incredible character and gets his own laughs throughout. So fun and funny and just a joy to take in Shayna's vocals.... full review
