6/10 was a captivating performance that takes you on a journey of love, finding oneself, family dynamics, self discovery and ultimately happiness. I was left feeling impressed by McKinnon’s ability to take you through so many personal and pivotal moments in his life while commanding attention, laughter, sadness and at times disappointment and anger from the audience. This is a MUST SEE show. It is in all ways completely EXCELLENT, and easily the best show I've seen at this year's festival. In terms of the vibe, it's a campy and classic femme 3 Stooges medical horror comedy -- and it is so well done. Such a funny show that provided an abstracted yet truthful feeling portrayal of real life experiences. Getting a taste of what Sam’s “day in the life” in Mississippi was like was both delightful and at times sobering. It really inspired me to the possibilities of an autobiographical show. At the end of the day, this is a girl who always brings the party and I felt that throughout, even when the subject matter became more serious. I think this is a very special show. This original drama play is hauntingly beautiful. Themes of repressing memory and emotions and secrets kept. Lynnette's Cabaret is a joyful, charming evening led by a performer who radiates charisma from the moment she steps on stage. Lynnette is absolutely gorgeous, but it's her gusto, warmth, and magnetic personality that truly steal the show. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Cara Meyer is that girl. What a funny, heartbreaking, and very vulnerable account of what it means to be a larger body in today's dating world. I don’t know what to say about this piece that hasn’t already been said. It’s a remarkable piece of theater. The use of live feed throughout, the entire production is really special, creative and a key element as if it’s another character. Indy is a powerhouse ! I’ve seen a sister Bernadette set before so I knew it was going to be funny and silly and witty, and all the good things. But, what I didn’t expect is to be brought to tears by the end of the piece and to feel a huge catharsis and release by the end of it. Indy mixes humor with the realities and disappointments of coming into yourself as an adult, as a woman, as a nun, and makes something entirely new that reminds us how lucky we are to be in good company and in good faith.... full review

I was absolutely blown away. Edib is an incredibly talented performer, who is able to toggle back seamlessly between moments of hilarity and devastation, depth and silliness. I loved the way they blended the weight of current events and history with the (ostensible) frivolities of standup and modern day drama. My face was hurting from laughing and my knee was hurting from slapping! Jordan delivers an incredible comedic performance grounded in vulnerability. She really creates a world in the theater and her parodies of the personas that inhabit it are spot on. The earnestness that she brings really highlights the absurdity that she's playing against.
