Country Girl Makes Do

jackie skinner · June 17, 2026 certified reviewer
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Funny, chaotic, full of heart. Sam has such a gosh dang presence and has created a cartoon-ish version of a time and place in her life for the audience to live in. A chaotic day in the life of a country girl in Mississippi (home, work, play, and LoVe) with constant play throughout. Sam is so funny and having the time of her life. Don’t miss it.... full review

The Resurrectionists

A heartfelt story - you are really rooting for the characters in this small town. There are a number of stand-out monologues, both compellingly written and performed. The melancholy sadness, and a bit of hope from this story stays with you after you leave the theater. I also loved that this is a queer story that isn't a story about being queer. ... full review

I got a flag and got to participate!! I was sold from the moment I took my seat! So fun, funny, and transparent! The way she took a life challenge, spilled all the tea and made it funny, vulnerable and a thrill of a seminar! Jackie has fantastic energy and dance moves too! You won't see Escape rooms the same after this and may side eye anyone that loves them excessively. As a single person, I appreciate when people share about their success and challenges in their relationships. It's comedic and ... full review

Great acting as these actors invited the audience in to their support group for do-gooders with such honesty and vulnerability as they shared. And one feels they are a part of this group, I certainly recognized myself in some of the sharing. I just want to be bad! Same time next week?... full review

ghosttown

nicole knudsen · June 17, 2026 certified reviewer
ghosttown is an engaging exploration of two central questions. The first: “What would it be like to attend your own funeral after you died?” The second: “Can anyone really know another person fully?” Kellie Pleshinger’s script grapples with one deceased woman’s realization that those closest to her never knew the deepest parts of her. Was that their fault? Was it hers? The production finds power in never providing an easy answer.... full review

Unplugged Electric Guitar is a poignant drama filled with heart and humor, wonderfully nuanced in both its storytelling and finely drawn characters, brilliantly performed by its talented cast. I saw the preview performance and I’m still thinking about the play over a week later. The play’s two acts—separated by time and circumstances—are connected by the journey of central character Danny— sensitively portrayed by the playwright Danny Rocco. Act I explores an awkward and tender reconnection be... full review
