Love this show. I'm embarrassed to say I have never seen a Pinter play but I'm glad this was the first one I saw. Wonderful production with 2 immensely talented actors. Phil Abrams and Jim Grollman had such great chemistry and perfect timing. After the play i was thinking about how magical theater is when you can have 2 talented actors in an almost bare stage and they make you believe that you are in that basement. The show takes the cultural movement of hyper-masculinity and the aggressive approach used to push its message to other men, and bends it into a wild, emotional rollercoaster meant to instead teach male students in attendance vulnerability - in an agro way. Almost everyone can relate to falling in love with a band and wishing they would love us back! The difficult subject matter, the discomfort, the moments of not knowing what to say, the avoidance of what needs to be said, and the glimpse into what it might feel like to have competing voices in your head — all of it was handled with such honesty.
