It was a very realistic portrayal of all of the different paths that people are on in an inpatient psychiatric unit. Christine made a great show! I really enjoyed the tension, and the way keeping the relationship with mom going was so haunting. I could feel the sense of over-worked loneliness. Midge invites us into her spaceship of oddity and music and tells us we can't leave. By the end of the show, I didn't want to. Bean vs the Robots is beautiful postcard to the playfulness of childhood and the processing of grief. Silly at times but also touching and sweet, Midge's performance will stay with me for a while. Fun and goofy! I love the use of Exquisite Corpse to build out a play by multiple writers, and it proved to be a wild and weird experiment that I really enjoyed.
