The Fisherman’s Wife

alon dina · June 23, 2026 certified reviewer
A play that follows a relationship of unmet needs, and the lengths of fantasy that it can reach. A farce with hilarious twists. It was their last show, and sold out; I'm hoping to see it return! I can describe this show as sexually hilarious, using physical humor for maximum comedic moments. Really great technical features as well as puppet work. Found myself smiling all the way through, with these intelligent performances.... full review

ANXIETY THE MUSICAL! (do you like that title? is that okay?)

alon dina · June 23, 2026 certified reviewer
Jasmine Elist delivers a captivating and deeply relatable performance in Anxiety the Musical! (do you like that title? is that okay?), guiding audiences through the many ways anxiety has shaped her life across different stages and experiences. Through original songs, character work, and plenty of humor, she transforms a topic that can feel overwhelming into something accessible, entertaining, and surprisingly uplifting. Likely going in my top ten!... full review

Escape Room

ESCAPE ROOM was a delightful surprise from Fringe this year!! I was a walk-in and had little context and came away so thrilled that I saw it. What an incredible performance and a moving experience. Boyle is a phenomenal actor who grounds the hour-long show so well, taking the audience through her memory. Fun, moving, and powerful--add this one to your lists!!... full review

Edib is so, so talented! They are able to deftly balance clowning, humor, audience interaction, and the underlying deeper storytelling around grief, intergenerational trauma, diaspora, connection to ancestores, and the role of art in times of extreme oppression and violence. The fact that the piece feels like a hilarious comedy while also touching on such intense themes is really a testament to their skills.... full review

Woody Wrote 3 Pilots

jackie skinner · June 23, 2026 certified reviewer
I went to the INVISIBLE! reading. Woody nailed with the description "Pen15 meets Quantum Leap with a little Stranger Things haunting around the edges." It's a half-hour comedy that already feels fully formed, even in a bare-bones reading. I walked out wanting the full season. I genuinely can't wait to see this on screen. Woody is a great writer with a strong, unique comedic voice.... full review

Incredible from top to bottom, unexpected and a wild journey based on a real-life account of persecution by Gretchen, who is an incredible performer with a unique voice and infinitely engaging stage presence! Absolutely recommend seeing yourself live or finding a way to help this show become a feature because it deserves to be seen as a truly horrific lived-in (almost true crime) experience. ... full review

The End of the World

jessica park · June 23, 2026 certified reviewer
The End of The World is a very thoughtful and daring exploration of difficult themes and a brilliant showcase of a truly gifted performer and writer. In a sea of solo shows that are often navel-gazing, Destiny's piece is truly an artistic deep-dive into topics that are not easy to talk about, let alone make entertaining and darkly comedic. The balance of goofy characters, breathtaking poetry and the important questions she's posing leave you wanting more. My favorite moments are when it's just De... full review
