Don’t ask Don’t tell

So much energy, so much heart. I was caught up in this one from the jump. Deshawn and Jamonte bring a kinetic energy that takes over the room. The whole room is just playing, playing, playing the whole time. And then the show turns out to be a love letter to clowning!!! Get out of here. I loved it too much. ... full review

So funny. So well-written and performed. A very surprising narrative — for a touching but humorous autobiographical show, you don't expect the actual storyline to have so many twists and turns. Frank is a formidable actor, able to portray so many modes with tightness and precision. When I see a solo show I want to walk away feeling like I really got to SEE the performer, and in this show, I felt like Frankie presented something very true and authentic about himself. A really entertaining and sati... full review

Just a terrific piece! An involving, engrossing and very surprising script brought to life by a masterful cast. I love when a story takes a familiar set up (no spoilers) and completely reinvents it. The show starts with a story about siblings going through their mother's things, then moves to a damaged friendship, then finishes with a story about family and friendship expectations and the existential crisis of not meeting those expectations. These are familiar themes, but they were explored in such unique ways with completely original and three dimensional characters. The casting was superb: the actors wor... full review
