Had a great time at The McEnfro Show! It’s such a fun mix of clowning, circus, improv, and over-the-top comedy. Jonas is incredibly talented and fully commits to every ridiculous moment, which makes it even funnier. The audience interaction was a blast, and you can tell how much skill and creativity went into the show. Definitely one of the more unique and entertaining shows I’ve seen at Fringe. Dean is one of my favorite performers to watch, and one of the most inventive character creators I've seen. Their physicality is incredible, and every tiny movement feels purposeful. I love the balance of whimsy with a mischievous, darker edge. Every creative choice, from the character to the structure of the show, felt carefully considered but never forced. It creates this wonderfully mysterious world that invites the audience to explore without ever feeling lost. A reminder to keep it simple.... full review

My first Hollywood Fringe show. Heck, my first one person show! Listening to Eric tell his story as Charlie felt like listening to a friend telling a gripping story of his past, warts and all. Eric wasn't acting. He became Charlie and I was truly on the edge of my seat waiting to hear how everything in his fictional life turned out. This was one of those rare shows that trusts the audience to find their own meaning, and it's all the better for it. Beneath the surreal clowning is a surprisingly sharp reflection on what it means to be human... our need to connect, our fear of being misunderstood, and the ways we keep missing each other. I'm such a fan of Sarah's writing! I love how its not packed with exposition and gives you just enough information to let the imagination fill in the rest. A lot of the moments really live in the subtext or what's not being said. Overall I think this is a very sharp, clever, and well crafted story that feels incredibly relevant and slightly uncomfortable at times.
