Re-Visitor was a hilarious and honest look at grief and our need for support and community. And such a unique concept that I've never seen Fringe do - have it be somewhat of a sequel to a previous Hollywood Fringe show! It's no surprise with Laurel Kathleen and River C. Johnson create. Becoming Apparent was such a moving and vulnerable show that will stay with me for a long time. I loved Olga's approach to the format of a solo show, weaving in and out between narration and scenes in such a seamless way. I believe she struck a beautiful balance between highlighting deep, traumatic events with a universal humor by poking at topics like motherhood and religion that are often taboo to criticize. I loved the play so much. All I wanted to see during Fringe was incredible dramatic acting up close. And I got it and more with Three Eulogies! The stand out for me was the performance of Tom Szymanski as Quentin. And, speaking as respectfully as I can of the dead, Tyson is super hot and I probably wouldn’t have cared if he never apologized to me.
