Interviewing for the Role of Father

ellen relac · June 28, 2026 certified reviewer
The theatricality, bravery, vulnerability, and heart of this show merits every accolade it will receive and then some. Xander has created an achingly vulnerable, universally moving, and fresh-feeling piece of theater. Watching this show performed was a historic-feeling moment that bonded us as an audience, especially since we caught the night with Xander's real father watching remotely. This work was a gift to everyone who got to watch it.... full review

This show is truly an entertaining one. Julia is HILARIOUS. She's one of the funniest people I've ever come across. She's so relatable and says what no one else dares to say in the cutest and catchiest manner. I loved this show so much, I would watch it 100 more times.... full review

Get Ready With Me To Kill My Parents! with Claudia Lonow

charles ziarko · June 28, 2026 certified reviewer
CLAUDIA LONOW's teen years of Fame and Fortune are long gone. Like so many others, they devolved into a much longer lifetime of extensive sex (and NOTHING goes unshared!) and expensive drugs. Saturday's matinee audience thought it was a lotta laughs---some due to clever mocking quips, and many mightily misplaced. The full house seemed to be mainly Friends and Family---including The Parents themselves, absorbing it all at every performance! Surprising that she zings her Stepfather but never eve... full review

Whichever One You Feed

I had no idea what to expect, and walking in to actors already on stage in character was quite different and I loved it. This play was unlike any I've seen. The acting was stellar, the subject matter, even through the mouths of wolves, was timely and relevant and the pacing was fantastic. I do hope this play grows to bigger and bigger audiences. ... full review

In the Beginning

The one word that kept coming to me after seeing In The Beginning was...beautiful. I loved everything about it. If you've ever read the Bible through, this is the first story you will read. Or, if you, like me, have tried to read the Bible through but failed, it's the story you've read multiple times. The script that Ms. Robinson presented added the flesh, blood, and heart this short, complex, and crtical story in the Bible. As women, its easy to glance at God and think we are less valuable than ... full review

Overall, it was engaging, unique and funny. The performances of both Ava and Amanda were believable and I was convinced of their relationship on the stage. And the writing!
