Take Me As I Am: A Joni Mitchell Tribute

Astonishing--a revelation. I've heard cover bands, who reinterpret songs in their own style. And I've heard tribute bands, who create faithful, frozen-in-amber reproductions of the originals. But this performance was something else--something akin to sorcery, as if we'd stumbled into a portal and wound up in a New York coffeehouse in the fall of 1969, and discovered a fresh, live, unrecorded performance from Joni herself. From the moment she walks onto the stage she embodies Joni Mitchell in every aspect. The way she talks is spot on. It honestly took you back in time! Well I’m too young to have ever seen her in concert for real but Rainee had done an outstanding performance imitating Joni. She was Joni the entire time, bantering to the audience and telling life stories. You truly felt like you were at a concert! Rainee also had a beautiful voice. ... full review

I can't recommend this performance enough! I was truly blown away. Each Joni Mitchell song was beautifully and stunningly performed. The storytelling between songs was poignant and often funny. I'm so glad I got to attend this. As a major Joni Mitchell fan, I loved the song choices. Just amazing!! Captivating!... full review
