This show blew me away. Fiercely creative, incredibly revealing, hilarious but thoughtful. Both of these women have an incredible mastery of being concise. They chose every word, every movement, cleverly. While attacking two very different themes with intelligence, giving the audience a new perspective on feminism and death, it was also extremely moving. Awkward in the best ways, bold and quirky, the shows complimented each other perfectly. ... full review

This is the epitome of a fantastic Fringe experience! Something superbly creative using all kinds of theatrical standards and props in fresh and fun ways. Dancing, video, puppetry, the big box of surprises, wigs... and the performances polished, honest, and charming... oh, and absolutely hysterical and heart wrenching all in the same breath. ... full review

Wow! I am so glad I saw this. I left the theatre in tears and I just wish the lights had been off for longer so I could have cried as much as I wanted to. Both pieces were absolutely amazing and so creative, huge congratulations.... full review

Two one-woman shows for the price of one! "Simulakra" by Alyssa Virker (hope I spelled that right). Alyssa's show is a perfect mash-up of visual and physical storytelling. Quirky, funny, and charming, with a great message in the end. I really love this kind of approach to performance. "My Dead Mom's Funeral" by Angela Beevers. Angela's show was comedy gold. There are a thousand shows about loved ones and cancer. Many try to pull it off as heartfelt comedy. This show pulls it off in spades! Absolutely loved it. You owe it to yourself to get a ticket for this great duo of shows.... full review

These are two great women who have put together very different but equally compelling experiences. I'm very glad to see that they're getting some recognition because they definitely deserve it. This production connects two very different ideas into a sharp, exceptional hour of theatre that everyone should go see immediately.... full review

If you’re on the hunt for a night of pure, unfiltered theatrics, “TWO One Woman Shows” promises an experience that’s anything but ordinary. You’ll witness double the meltdowns, twice the wigs, and an unholy alliance of amateur puppetry and sexualized dogs. But let’s dive into what really matters—can you afford it? First off, this play is a bargain by theater standards. Two shows for the price of one sounds like a steal, right? But let’s think beyond the ticket price. Ever heard of hidden costs? That’s what you should be considering when you whip out your credit card.... full review

It was refreshing to feel challenged a bit while watching 2 for 1. Alyssa Virker's avant-garde approach to her show was bold and took its time shaping the message that came together nicely by the end. Angela Beever's show was unapologetically intimate and brave in a way that felt relatable even if you had not lost a parent under such brutal circumstances. Both women should be applauded for exposing themselves through their art in such a fearless and courageous way. ... full review

One of my favorite shows at fringe this year. What a perfect way to end my fringe viewing schedule! Absolutely beautiful, and very relevant to Millenials especially. Almost the whole audience were Milennials and there was something really powerful about that. I’ll be watching whatever these women continue to make because damn, that was good art. ... full review
