This show knows what it is and does it sooooooo well! It’s a sea shanty revue! And if that doesn’t sound like fun to you, then get the hell away because I don’t need you there spoiling MY GREAT TIME! I can’t tell you how much I love and respect live music in a Fringe show. Blow the Man Down is a showcase for some incredibly beautiful harmonies and moments of astounding accapella that are only amped up by the use of live instruments to create a total part mood that doesn’t go without its moments of sincerity that work well to complement the zany good time, adding some much appreciated definition and moral fiber to the piece. My main takeaway: life is short. Get together with your best mates while ye can and sing. Dance. Drink. Eat. Smi... full review

This is one of the funnest shows I've seen this year. With a great collection of shanties to guide us through a simple narrative, Spencer and his troupe give the audience some of the best harmonies. It's such a joy to hear this cast sing with almost no instruments and really connect with the audience and each other. Spencer is truly a standout as the captain of the ship, leading his crew through various incidents and songs. There are plenty of laughs and moments that just make you smile. ... full review

Ahoy lovers of timeless stories of adventure, love and friendship told through dulcet harmonies by a charming, colorful cast, you have found your show! This was such a warm, welcoming musical experience - from the opening announcement, I felt like I was boarding a Disney ride and was charmed until disembarking the 'ship'. Spencer is delightful as our seafaring guide, loved when he (and others) accompanied themselves on instruments, though the a'cappella vocals were just as wonderful!... full review

I love this production. Prior to flying in from New Hampshire to attend the Fringe I wanted to make sure I saw this Production. I knew Spencer would deliver. This man is a Hollywood Fringe legend. His enthusiasm for Theater, Production and acting is contagious. The Music made me feel similar to a Hot Chocolate next to a fireplace in a Winter Ski Lodge. This show was the comfort food of Fringe shows. Sea Shantys were a brilliant Musical Theme . I grew up with this kind of Music. I was smiling throughout the hilarious at times, show.... full review
