In this absolute blast of a show, we are all swept away to the dank and deep of the Caribbean, so much so that I could smell the sea air and coral and hear the seagulls too. Inventive vocal arrangements and a plethora of instrumentation mixed in as well, culminated in an nicely balanced and charming show, that I could easily see playing 4 or 5 times a day at any appropriately themed Park, Ren Faire, Cruise Ship, or Pub corner. Anyone who likes shanties, pirates, tight vocal harmonies, or live music will love this show. The show presents a collection of brilliantly arranged shanties which the pirate crew cast sings in such tightly perfect harmony. I particularly loved the numbers that incorporated comedic movements to tell the story - the petticoats were hilarious!...

I saw this show and it’s first preview and it is easily one of the most professional shows I’ve seen at the fringe. I can’t believe it was that put together at first preview. I loved hearing the live music and such an intimate venue. You could feel the harmonies and rhythms, in your body like a very visceral and ephemeral feeling....

Blow The Man Down: A Sea Shanty Concert is all the right mix of euphoric sea songs and comical sea tales all blended together with an amazing vocal ensemble. I was singing along and tapping my feet the entire time. This cast played off of each other so well! Such a joy to watch! ...

This show is screaming for a production at a local pub, cruise ship, or Ren Faire! I was dying to be on a barstool with a mug of ale during the whole performance. Such a great showcase of the best sea shanties - wonderful opportunities to sing along to the hits (drunken sailor! blow the man down!), as well as learn some new-to-you songs. ...
