I was very impressed by the scope, arc, and overall performance level of this play. The actors were all very talented and in tune with their characters. The physical comedy and blocking was perfection, and the writing was very smart. I loved the structure of the play, and how the writing made smart call backs to earlier jokes or plot points. What do you get when you mix a clown with a witch? I was very curious. I am fond of both, but it’s so easy to play a caricature of these creatures, and to push with bad acting, what you don’t organically have within you. And then you meet a performer like Elena, who is entirely fresh and spontaneous with a brilliant mind, who keeps you on your toes, engaged, as you laugh and sigh and love with her. ... full review

In ANGST, Spencer Weitzel rocks his anybody character, hounded by self-doubts and anxiety--ably portrayed onstage by Theo Fay--all over the theater and deep into our heads. At one time or another, we've all heard a defeatist interior voice tell us, "that won't work, that's stupid, no one will like it," and stop us cold before we try.
