Once I let go of the expectation of realism, I was able to appreciate what the production was actually exploring, the anxiety of living truthfully. The characters continually switch between the straight-man of comedy and different roles of absurdity, exploring different masks to their core. Ultimately, I really enjoyed the play's willingness to move through different dream states and psychological landscapes. The show is strange, funny, and emotionally resonant, and keeps you thinking about the d...

Black Bag Job is a gripping and thought-provoking theatrical experience that sheds light on one of the lesser-known chapters surrounding the Civil Rights Movement and final days of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The play masterfully blends historical fact with dramatic storytelling, drawing audiences into a world of surveillance, secrecy, and political tension.
From the opening scene, the writer and director Christian Levatino creates an atmosphere of suspense. The title itself—Black Bag Job, a te...

Arguments is a thoughtful and entertaining production that succeeds because of its strong performances, effective direction, and excellent technical design. The live jazz musicians bring a unique energy to the piece, while the lighting and projections help create a rich theatrical experience. Although a few emotional moments could have been allowed more room to breathe, the production remains engaging throughout and is a worthwhile addition to this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival....

Overall, “My Brother’s Room” is an entertaining show that explores both the positive and negative influence family can have on one another when communication and vulnerability are missing. While some of the performances and pacing could use more room to settle, the production has a lot of potential and offers a thoughtful look at the complicated dynamics between siblings and family....

Overall, V.I.P. is a funny, thoughtful, and relatable solo show, especially for anyone familiar with the pressure and absurdity of audition rooms. Moore gives the audience a range of emotions while still leaving them feeling encouraged. It is one of the more refreshing solo shows I have seen this year, and it is worth attending....

I went into this show never having seen a vertical show, never even knowing what one was. I left more knowledgeable and also laughing, after experiencing the biting humorous commentary on this form of entertainment. From terrible AI-written scripts to apathetic background actors, to models turned leads because they had the right look, this show highlights the racism in the casting of verticals....

Over this last weekend I had the pleasure of viewing a few of the different productions at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, and “In the Beginning” is the one that stood out to me by far. It had a very professional feeling and story behind it. This is a piece that makes you think back to the views and stories that have been for centuries. The actors in this production did a wonderful job of capturing the vibe and essence of each character. ...
