Holy smokes! Liza was on fire this entire show! The singing, the dancing, the insights, the audience interactions - is there anything she can't do? I saw this show at 11pm and it woke me up - both literally and figuratively! I heard about this show early into my own fringe preparations, so I was looking forward to it ever since, and it did not disappoint! I love this show so much! I've seen it twice now, and it's not enough times! Jackie is so funny, charismatic, and just a joy to watch on stage. This show could easily become more about the gossip surrounding her first marriage and Carl (gross!) but it is about Jackie and her strength. It's a beautiful, funny, inspiring show. The charisma of the Doom Girls (Jenni, Alex and Nina) and their comedic chemistry made this so fun to watch! They each brought something special to the stage which just got more and more amplified throughout the performance. I loved watching Meg's journey from her small town to the big city, and then back to the small town again, and maybe to the big city a few more times?? As a performer, Meg is so instantly likable and I was completely enchanted by all of her sincere silliness. Fun and funny take on politics that reminded me of classic political satires such as Election and Veep (with a twist ;-). The characters and performances felt totally lived in and it was compelling to watch the conflicting personalities bouncing off each other. Because of the time period over which the story takes place, it was also great seeing how the characters transformed, and I particularly loved watching Lionel changed throughout the play. ... full review

Mark is a really wonderful clown, and the nature of Welcome to Hell really showcases his talent in mining the audience, AND gives us an exciting peek into his skills with live direction. I was fully present throughout each moment of GBA! The writing and actors transformed that theater into a space for deep personal reflection. Each story approached the topic from a unique and authentic angle making it easy to connect with the characters and examine my own relationship with being a good girl.
