What a show! It was polished, with cutting, loaded and original writing, and anchored by fantastic performances across the entire small cast, with two leads (Jake and Michael) really holding it down. I really enjoyed this show! I wanted to encourage anyone interested in a fast paced and humorous exploration of the “was he or was he not” topic to catch this one. The cast is great. I really enjoyed PUNISH ME. It was riveting - played out like a psychological thriller where I felt myself leaning into it wanting to know more and more. Great cast and direction is on point. What I loved the most was Michael's character and his relationship to the audience when he breaks the 4th wall and talks to us as the character - wonderfully funny and intimate. Enjoyed every minute of this wild ride of a musical dedicated to a gleefully awful B-movie (that you don't have to have seen to thoroughly enjoy this tribute/skewering.) This show is one of my favorites that I've seen at fringe. Veronica fearlessly invites us into the world of postpartum and she does not hold back!! She is my HERO.
