It made my heart smile to see an all Asian/Asian American cast and kudos that this was a CalArts student production! As an Asian American, it was powerful to see performers who looked like me. I could relate to the various characters and their back stories, including finding their identities in the world as well as the joys and challenges of having immigrant parents. ... full review

In the wake of asian hate crimes and the newfound focus on asian american stories, Something In The Air presents so many deep and meaningful stories from across the asian american diaspora. CalArts students created a play which was both entertaining and meaningful. They all had fun on stage and told their stories. It was obvious that Chacha mixed her college experiences with the current anti-Asian sentiment in the US to flesh out this story. Congrats to yall. ... full review

Incredibly well-written with exceptional performances from the cast! Really entertaining, one of the most unique shows you will see at the Fringe. The story was really engaging and the humor throughout never detracted from the serious and mysterious situation the characters found themselves in. So happy I got to see this!... full review
