Tattered Capes is one of the finest shows Greg Crafts has ever written. I've seen a lot of his work, but for sheer personal force, character development and definition, and dialogue, this show is a huge accomplishment. Add in the unbelievable choreography and some of the best stage combat I've seen at literally any level of theatre, and what Greg, Soda Persi, Corey Lynn Howe, and their cast have accomplished is stunning.... full review

When you see a show from Theatre Unleashed, you can count on solid script, smart directing, and elevated set/costume/props design. What surprised me about their newest show was the level of thought put into the complex and layered storytelling - a lot of this is attributed to Greg Crafts' excellent script, but you see it in directing and acting choices too. Seeing a TU show is always a good bet, but TATTERED CAPES impresses across the board.... full review

Tattered Capes is a brilliant original superhero story written by Gregory Crafts! Teaming up with director, Corey Lynn Howe, choreographer, Soda Persi, and a perfectly well-rounded cast, this group put on a show that was much more fun than watching a superhero movie on the big screen.... full review

Gregory Crafts and Theatre Unleashed production of "Tattered Capes" brings homage to prevalent and popular Marvel and DC Comic superhero films in a fresh, funny, and poignant new work after last year’s award-winning equally loving send up to the classic action heist, "A Very DIE HARD Christmas." While celebrating their wedding anniversary, Kevin (Travis Joe Dixon) and Stephanie's (Joanna Mercedes) date is spoiled by a supervillain attack, resulting in the unmasking of Kevin as a superhero. However, what he soon learns is that Stephanie has a secret too. What follows is an action-packed and introspective take on the nature of real honesty, mutual acceptance, growth, and choice in contemporary relationships.... full review

I came in expecting something full of superhero fun and was surprised by how character driven it was, and the depth of the story. I don’t want to spoil anything, but the biggest take away for me was about the relationship of the two leads and how much love does it take to compromise. And should one compromise. I didn’t agree with a character’s decision at the end, but I appreciated being challenged with an alternative perspective. ... full review
