A project manager by day and a writer and occasional performer by night, Brett has been a stage manager at Fringe for productions dating back to 2017. Previously associated with the Sierra Madre Playhouse, Brett generally prefers to be behind the scenes or in the audience, but when the stars align (and baseball is involved), he can be persuaded to take center stage, as he did for his 2019 solo project, Batter Up: My Brain on Baseball. One of the surprise hits of the festival, the show garnered 6 award nominations and had a successful Encore run. He modified and reprised the show in 2024, Batter Up!: Double Play, and was voted the winner of the Fringe Cabaret & Variety Award, as well as an extension and a run at the Scottsdale Performing Arts Center.
