Laura Jo Trexler takes us through a roller coaster romp of emotions and comedy with Shakespeare's women (one sonnet, other famous characters from major plays). You live through the unloved daughter (Ophelia), the sexy lover (Beatrice), the rapping Lady Macbeth, and a gay Viola (If I'm remembering correctly). The creativity of the show and its scope make it a moment-by-moment surprise, magical, very funny and moving. And honestly, Laura Jo can SING. And play the piano, even with just one hand. This is a not-to-be-missed fringe experience. So glad I saw the show!... full review

Totally delightful! If you’re a fan of Shakespeare, you’ll love hearing lines sprinkled through the original lyrics. Honey-voiced Laura Joe Trexler embodies each of the heroines in a game and charming performance. Very easy watching!... full review

Trexler’s performance had all that you would expect from a Broadway show, with just the right amount of theatricality added to the songs to make them come alive and memorable. Check out the rest of the review..... full review

Laura-Jo is a musical sensation and certainly someone to watch. Aside from being a tour de force as a musician, piano player, and vocalist, she is also a master of each Shakespearean character she portrays. As a songwriter and composer, she also managed to capture the essence of each heroine through her catchy motifs and slick melodic lines. Her transitions are fast, her presentation is witty, and her characters are well thought out and jam-packed with artistic subtlety and variety. Whether you know much about Shakespeare or not, this is a show that’s not to miss. She nails it. With a run-time of 45 minutes, there’s no excuse not to see it. ... full review

Wow, she does it all! Laura Jo Trexler put on a highly entertaining show that left me begging for more. I was thrilled with the variation of musical genres from song to song. Her powerful voice soared through the theater over her beautiful piano playing classical, sultry jazz, gritty saloon/parlor country, even rapping, with laughs along the way. I loved every minute of it, and even picked up a copy of the soundtrack for future listening. ... full review

I was blown away by this show! I had no idea that I was in for the best hour of nonstop entertainment I’d experienced in a long time. The songs are so creative and unique. Laura Jo has a fabulous voice! Her vocal range and styles are like nothing I’ve heard before from the same singer. She is multi talented! Her singing and acting chops are fantastic , then she plays the piano incredibly well! And she wrote and composed all of the music! She is a true one woman show! She drew me in with her characters of Shakespeare’s women. I bought her soundtrack CD so I can enjoy it over and over. Don’t miss out on seeing this gem of a show! You will love it!... full review
