This was a wonderful show. It slowly unfolds a relstionship amd all of it's funny, akward, regretful, and loving moments. It will make you laugh and cry. It depicts two people choosing to love each other and work at it for their entire lives and it is very sweet.... full review

features four characters (two of them playing multiple roles) is the simple but profound tale of a man and woman who fall in love, staying that way. It might seem nostalgic but is not, not really. Neither is it sentimental. Genuine pain they experience does not make it sad, nor do the often funny/silly antics at the heart of this love story make it a comedy. Just a simple but profound story. It explores why maybe we've put so much investment in the idea of romantic love. Because when it does work, when two people do click and when they make the commitment of staying with each other through disappointment, confusion, betrayal, tension, boredom, forgiveness, etc. then it becomes very much the stuff of dreams. The cast does a fine job, w... full review

This show is an emotional rollercoaster and a brilliant story, performed by relatable leads with unbelievable charisma, chemistry, and magnetism. You will laugh, and you will cry, and there is nothing you can do about either.... full review

Jacob Smith's scintillating script under Sean Fitzgerald's taut direction gives the humdrum minutiae of couplehood the tension of a thriller. Julia Plostnieks soars in her simple yet potent portrayal of a woman finding her way through the morass of romance and relationship. Michael Lutheran fully embodies a charmingly flawed man who struggles to earn and prove his love. Equal parts mystery and love story, Met Again earns every moment. ... full review

Full disclosure, I work for Theatre Unleashed, but I couldn't NOT leave a review of this show!! How Jacob Smith was able to capture the full breadth of an honest and true relationship (the ups, the downs, the twists, the turns, the LIFE of it) is truly incredible. In an hour, thanks to the direction of Sean Fitzgerald, we became part of this couple's life. We journeyed with them, watched them grow and perhaps fell in love with them a bit ourselves. The two leads, Julia Plostnieks and Michael Lutheran were incredible, as were the two swing actors (Greydon Schlichter and Megan Duquette) who tackled multiple roles. One of the best things about this play was seeing all the people in the audience at one point or another lean over to their signifi... full review

I caught the opening of this fantastic, funny, heart-wrenching, piece this weekend. Jacob Smith’s script (based on a short piece that I had the honor of performing years ago) is grounded, elegant and precise in its portrait of a life’s worth of love. Julia Plostnieks’s work is endearingly natural and subtle (when it needs to be), and Michael Lutheran complements this with a sincere energy that transforms and matures appropriately throughout. Definitely worth checking out.... full review
