An impressive piece of writing about an heroic woman we should all know, admire and emulate - but who was left out of the history books. I truly appreciate a play that finds someone like Mary Seacole and brings her to life to enrich ours. Elegant performance by Amy Argyle playing a character who maintains her dignity through challenge after challenge. Twon Pope brought a nice energy and passion to Marry’s brother, Edward, and Emilie Martz gave a solid contrast to Mary as the envious and controlling Florence Nightingale. Well done, Matthew Robinson! ... full review

Mary's Medicine was delightfully fresh while also seamlessly covering critical issues, including racism, sexism, and the joys of connection and empathy, that are just as important today as they were when Mother Seacole lived her life. With a strong performance from the lead actress, this play provides an empowering message to marginalized communities. The way history is brought to life on this stage is nothing short of breathtaking; a story that seemed forgotten has been given the chance to live once more by this outstanding cast and crew.... full review

Enjoyable show with interesting characters and strong actors. I do feel like it should have been a longer show though. 1 hour is very short to give a complete history. Seemed like we just flew through her story. (Would have liked to have seen more scenes with her and her husband and also with Florence Nightingale.) Overall, I definitely recommend it's play.... full review
