This is the second time I've seen Simon's show, and I'm still just as gobsmacked by his illusions as I was the first time. I can't say enough good things about his act, so just go see it. It'll leave you with a sense of wonder....

Wonderful show! I've seen Simon every year he's been at Fringe and his shows are always a delight. This year's offering is a trip through illusion and reality, utilizing sleight of hand and masterful theatricality to entertain and entrance. I highly recommend it!...

According to Simon, the world is divided into people who scoff at magic tricks, people who gasp in wonder, and people who just don’t care. My skeptical husband kept trying to tell me how this or that illusion was 'done' while credulous me just gasped at the magic of it all. What an affable chap Simon is, patiently explaining to his eager audience how he does each ‘trick’ then leaving us all baffled as he does it. Such fun. A $5 bill turns into a 50 in front of our eyes. His small Soy Sauce bottle is upstaged by an audience members large one! He pops a Rubik’s Cube into his mouth and chews it into place. My favorite illusion was when he took story suggestions from the audience and, engaging the guy behind us, had him draw from a locked box a ...

Simon Coronel has the fastest hands or else he really is magic. This was an awesome show, I've no idea how he did most of what he did, but had a wonderful time trying to figure it all out!...

MAGICAL MAGIC!
GLITCHES IN REALITY (Platinum Medal)
Simon Coronel is a soft spoken lemur-faced Aussie who manages to accomplish two rather remarkable things in his show. First he meticulously deconstructs the entire stock in trade of the professional magician, describing in detail methods used to achieve the desired illusions, nonchalantly revealing secrets of the trade, at one point even enquiring who in his audience wants to know how a card trick is brought about, and who doesn’t . Then the “ignorance is bliss” crowd is invited to join him on stage and he sets about performing the trick for them, while exposing to the “Sho’me” bunch his mastery of card manipulation. Coronel’s second accomplishment in the course of the show is blowing the collectiv...

Unlike many modern magicians, Simon is a low-key performer who keeps the audience engaged with a storyline that follows a consistent theme. He doesn't go in for the flashy effects or the grandiose visuals or the flamboyant gestures that we have come to expect from many in his profession. He displays a rare gentlemanly demeanor that feels more like we're sitting in his living room having a quiet chat than watching a stage performer at work. It's a very endearing quality.
His show consists of a series of separate effects which he weaves together using the "Glitches in Reality" theme that is the title of his show. He presents a combination of classic effects and new, original material that I had never seen before. Like Simon, I am also ...

I've been a member of the Magic Castle for 10 years, and I've seen hundreds of magicians. Simon Coronel's show "Glitches in Reality" is by far one of the very best magic shows I've seen in years.
The show is well-written, well-executed, creative, funny, and truly offers something for everyone. Simon's intelligent wit and non-showy demeanor instantly put the audience at ease (crucially important with an interactive magic show), and his sleight-of-hand skills are truly world class.
You'll laugh, you'll gasp, and you'll walk away with a smile on your face....

Nothing dazzling here, nothing to knock your socks off, but Mr. Coronel is a charmer, labeling himself an "illusionist" and his show is low key and entertaining. A sweet way to spend an hour in bemusement....
