I wish there were more shows in the Fringe like Wade's. An everyman, not an actor telling true stores. Except Wade is a lawyer and they tend to have just enough of a theatrical flair to entertain people too. LOVED THIS!! To be honest -- from the moment I heard the title, I knew I was gonna see this show. And the performance was just as good, if not better! So incredibly heartfelt & funny -- Skalsky's retelling of his life experiences is genuine & sooo refreshing. He had both me & my husband laughing from start to finish. Wade Skalsky is the feel-good story of Hollywood Fringe 2015. A first-timer, not just at Fringe but at acting/writing ANYTHING (except maybe legal briefs for his day job as an attorney). You'd never know it. He has a natural charm and wicked sense of humor and has created a thoroughly engaging, compelling, hilarious show. I'm guessing half his budget went toward a single, show-stopping prop involving a giant clam shell and drinking straws that had me pissing my pants. His show is a must-see and is a sterling example of just what makes HFF so fantastic. Well done, Wade!... full review

Often times we see actors play lawyers on film and television. Here, we got a chance to see a lawyer BE an actor. Wasn't really sure what I was expecting, maybe some oratorical debate of some sort, or at the very least something with a lot of lawyer jargon that would be hard to follow. But Wade delivered an endearing, humorous, life story that was so engaging and entertaining that if I didn't laugh out loud during some of it, I was smiling the entire time. Great credit to his wife for a well written and well constructed story. Congratulations to the both of you!!!... full review

When you open the program of this show, your are immediately told that Wade is not an actor. He is a lawyer. That being said, you would never know it. With some great direction and coaching, and some fairly fine-tuned writing, Skalsky has crafted an amusing story that will keep you smiling from the moment he saunters on stage with a bottle in one hand and a glass in the other. With some really nice comedic timing, Wade shares with us some intimate moments that shaped his journey and life that we just feel fortunate to hear them. Well done!... full review
