As a huge lover of old Hollywood, silent films and vintage everything... I absolutely adored this little show. At the helm of it all is adorable Julisa trying to find her way as an old-fashioned gal in a much different Los Angeles than she had bargained for. Her guide of "tips" to get noticed is from an era long past. She visit hotspot locations in hopes of being seen but upon her arrival, finds out that the hippest place in town has turned into a popular retail chain. This outdated list leads her to find out how much Hollywood has changed from glitz to glib. Julisa demonstrates her silent film background with great success. Her movements are exact, well formulated, choreographed and everything plays to the house very well. Her char... full review

Julisa Wright may be the new Carol Burnett if her Dear Hollywood one woman show at the Ruby is a glimpse of more to come. Fine comedic writing crossed with impeccable timing and expressive body language brings several characters to life in this arrival to Hollywood experience. Don't miss it!... full review

What a fun show! It's a slice of life depicting a young and naïve actress, from a small town, who is compelled to move to Hollywood with dreams of becoming a star. It's also about the wacky and zany characters she encounters. Julisa Wright is an incredibly gifted comedienne! Her timing is fantastic! Her characters are very amusing! Her versatile voice, facial expressions, and physical humor are remarkable! She is charming and witty. She is truly talented - and funny, funny, funny! The laughs keep piling up! I'm a tough customer regarding comedy, and the show provided me with almost non-stop laughter! Judging from the reaction and the continuous laughter emanating from the rather sizable audience, I wasn't alone. My friend and I went on a whi... full review

Adorable & SOOOOOOOO FUN! If you love Old Hollywood, you will LOVE THIS! Julissa taps into the very essence of the silent era w/grace & ease. As an audience member, I just couldn't help but fall in love with her main character as she interacts with a number of seedy yet fascinating individuals. See this!... full review

To be honest, I didn't know what to expect with his show. But I am so glad I saw this show. As someone who loves old Hollywood, I adored so much of this show. Wright's amazing ability to become each character so clearly so that you could easily put yourself in Mary's shoes was incredible. Not only that, her choice to have Mary speak no lines and basically be a silent movie star was probably the best thing of the show. It worked so well and added so much to this story. I would totally recommend this show as it is quick, simple and so full of heart! You will be so glad you saw this and will be wanting more when it's over! Great job!!... full review

Dear Hollywood is a cute, funny, sometimes-cynical-but-still-somewhat-starry-eyed take on modern-day Hollywood that gets Tinseltown spot-on. Julisa is a multi-talented performer and writer and all of her skills and smarts are on display here.... full review

We see a charming "flash back" to how we all imagine Old Hollywood was, set against the rough edges of Hollywood today with clever writing, vivid characterization and a heap of comedy. Julisa Wright has a wonderful way of telling both stories and still leaving us cheering for her protagonist - believing that she will, indeed, find her way to stardom, somehow. Cheers, Julisa!... full review

I loved this show so much. An accurate message about how much Hollywood has changed and told in such a fun way. All of her characters are so specific and lovely to watch. I had a great time!... full review

This brief and bubbly charmer is a delight. Full of fun archetypal characters portrayed by the shape-shifting Julisa Wright, this piece is easy on the soul. Great music too. Add this one to your list.... full review
