"My Sister" was an incredible show. There is so much to rave about! I will begin with the great performances- both solo but especially with their relationship on stage, these women are incredibly moving. I don't believe there was a dry eye in the house at the end, and yet, the show was at times funny and at times enraging! The sense of humor was incredible.... but also the story, and the sense of tension and watching the indoctrination of one sister and then her realization of the truth... and the show must go on.... I don't want to give away too many details. Let me just say that this was a great show, and I hope it continues long after the Fringe Festival!...

Not that they need another person to tout how amazing this show is, because they have so many great reviews, BUT THIS SHOW WAS SO AMAZING! Both women did such a phenomenal job portraying these characters. The play sucked me into an entirely differently place and time with just one simple set because of their performances. I don't want to give away too much of the show, just go see it, you will not regret it. ...

My favorite show at the Fringe so far! I would go see this one again, I enjoyed it so much. Please, don't miss out on this one. The writing and acting were amazing and all the technical aspects of the show came together beautifully to tell this story. I was emotionally captivated the entire time and am still thinking about it days later. You will not regret seeing this one....

Absolutely heartbreaking. Any story about Berlin in the 1930s must be heartbreaking - one goes in assuming it can't end well. Yet we immediately root for these sisters anyway, as completely charming and deserving and maybe just clever enough to survive the brutal intolerance of the Nazi regime. This is a fascinating historical piece, with stunningly strong performances by Emily and Elizabeth Hinkler. Well done....

Emily and Elizabeth Hinkler are an incredibly unique pair whose talents absolutely shine in "My Sister". They carry Janet Schlapkohl's script effortlessly as both are electric throughout their performances. An entirely dialogue-based show, it could be easy to be bogged down by the language, but the Hinklers glide through the dark world of pre-war Berlin with invigorating energy, aided by the masterful direction of Paul David Story. And despite the location and subject matter, there is wonderful humor sprinkled throughout, never making light of the cerebral palsy inhabited by one sister, or the never-ending artistic struggle of the other. Subtlety is key in the show, so that when the girls do get to revel in their cabaret performances, we rel...

My Sister is an absolutely exquisite piece of theatre. Janet Schlapkohl has written a beautifully insightful and devastating play infused with humor and warmth. Emily and Elizabeth Hinkler are abundantly talented actresses giving bravura performances. Do whatever you need to do to see this play. It is not to be missed....
