Question: What do you get when you combine history (around the time of the French Revolution), family dynamics (an older, Emperor of a brother), and female desires? Answer: Napoleon's Who*re Sister, the serio-comedic portrait of Pauline Bonaparte. This show is much more than just a flashy, risqué title. The power is all in the messaging which highlights a woman proclaiming her sexuality and not being afraid to share it with the world.
Rest assured, the show is a jovial romp; however, serious issues concerning women's rights are addressed. These similarities between one wealthy Princess and today's everyday woman give me pause. Why are women STILL inferior to men? Why can a woman not have autonomy to her own body?

I didn’t even need to read the writer’s statement to know this was a labor of love. Clearly writer and star Shannon Corbeil was taken by the story of Pauline Bonaparte and so was the packed house in attendance. Shannon and her cast gave a joyful and energetic performance. She expertly combined comedy, improvisation, audience interaction and a message about how we demand perfection from women and punish them if they celebrate it for themselves. ...

I knew this was going to be a good play—Shannon is a fantastic writer—but I didn’t know it was going to be that good! From the opening to the very end, I laughed, I got teary-eyed, I learned historical facts, and I just loved it....

What a FUN night at the theater! This hilarious, irreverent, self-aware, broad comedy hits all of the notes in its 60 minutes. The actors were committed, present, and were generous and amazing listeners to each other and the audience members who got roped in to the fun. I didn't know much about Pauline before the show, but now she feels like an old friend. Appreciated the callouts to modern day parallels and the feminist commentary. HIGHLY recommend!...

A delectable blend of raunchy comedy, educational teachings and riotous fourth-wall breaking material, Napoleon's Wh*re Sister is a show to remember. I adored the script writing, and the actors were perfectly cast in their roles, consistently feeding off of each other's quips. A perfect blend of improv with screenplay. ...

The title alone piqued my interest in this show, and I was not disappointed. Napoleon’s Wh*re Sister is a timely commentary on the too-long history of men’s supposed claim to women’s bodies, all while masquerading as a light-hearted romp. To be clear: the show IS light-hearted. It’s a party, after all! But when the narrative eventually dips into more serious territory, it doesn’t shy away from it....

Absolutely fantastic, hilarious, touching, and completely entertaining. Corbeil excels here as Pauline, winning us over from the jump. The jokes were fantastic and brilliantly executed. I was especially impressed with the audience interaction element - it was well thought out and the audience member pulled onto the stage was supported by the performers onstage. ...

A rollicking, heartfelt, sexually charged, nonstop joyride of a play about one of history's lesser-known feminist icons. A very well-crafted and sharply executed farce with larger than life personas and clever banter that will have you smiling and belly laughing from beginning to end. ...
