A look back at the Jack the Ripper murders from present day, it’s a striking reminder that the subjects of every popular true crime podcast and Netflix serial killer documentary were real human victims, innocent lives cut short, and just how easily these atrocities get turned into fodder for entertainment especially when victims are of a marginalized group easy to other. In For a Penny humanizes the victims making for a sorrowful tale while also providing a glimmer of hope that, distinct from the fascinated masses studying such crimes from their couches to pass a Wednesday night, there are others who dedicate themselves to such study with an urgent sense of duty to understand and put an end to the ever looming threat of such horrors in our ... full review
