A strong one-woman show, a propulsive story mixed with some entertaining crowd work. Very promising future for the writer and performer Maria!... full review

This is the second solo show I have seen Maria put on and it did not disappoint. She has an absolute knack for hilarious and compelling storytelling, unique character development, and using her environment to her advantage.... full review

The Iditarod is an absolute gem! Teresa’s journey was a powerful narrative of endurance, love, loss, self-discovery, and adventure. The complexities of the relationship with her mom sends the audience on an emotional roller coaster that is both relatable and striking. Teresa single-handedly moves through this show with more energy than a team of huskies on Red Bull! Her wittiness and impeccable timing, even in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness, is a testament to Maria’s artistic genius! ... full review

I had such a great time! This show is unapologetically strange, but also so funny with the occasional emotional gut punch.... full review

With such a fresh and interesting storyline, I was hooked from the very start! The artist created such a complex character in a limited amount of time, I felt like I knew Teresa personally. The story had twists and turns, and the actor bounced between characters seamlessly. The writing was equal parts hilarious and thought-provoking. One minute I was laughing and the next I could feel my eyes welling up. I left the theater with a few lines still running through my head... that's how you know the writing is next level. This talented performer is destined for great things... I fully expect to see her name in lights one day!... full review

The storyline is captivating and the acting is sublime! This is the second live show I have seen from this artist and WOW, it blew me away. Maria is an incredibly talented writer and actress who seamlessly portrays several people with wildly different personalities, and she does so with ease. This piece really showcases her talent and versatility. It was funny, yet dark and thought provoking, leaving the viewer emotionally invested in Theresa Tottle and what will happen next. ... full review

Dark, funny, engaging, and weird! The story centers around Teresa and her obsession with the iditarod, but it also explores our relationship with grief, family, friends, and adulthood. This was a real joy to experience, loved all unexpected turns and dark twists! Go see it!!!... full review

Sometimes, a show just HAS ME! I came into The Iditarod not knowing the performer or her previous work, but I left an ENORMOUS FAN! The facts don't lie - sometimes, a performer is just so AHHHMAZING, her energy so INFECTIOUS, her storytelling so REVELATORY, and her way to interact with the audience so BRILLIANT, you can't help but fall under her spell!! And I was completely under Teresa Tottle's (portrayed by actress/writer Maria Gnoza) spell as she held a little party, had deep conversations with her Mother and teacher, journeyed to Alaska to race in the Iditarod, and felt all the feels about her twin sister. This is just an exceptional SOLO SHOW!!! ... full review

This show is a triumph of non0traditional storytelling, and is impossible to predict from one scene to the next. Maria is brilliant as both actor and writer--the show is cleverly written and escalates to a never-saw-it-coming conclusion. Can't recommend this too highly!... full review
