GIDEON & THE BLUNDERSNORP

All in all, a very fun, high energy, tight and well-executed afternoon of family theatre. As always, Shapiro produces an up-beat, well-cast, energetic show that has the benefit of excellent singing voices, tight ensemble acting, and creative and imaginative staging. I think it has earned its Fringe accolades and Shapiro is not only an extremely talented artist, but a kind, supportive and professional part of our community. I wish him every possible success. ... full review

THE BULLY PROBLEM

So much fun. Fast-paced and uplifting. I really enjoyed the entire cast. Memorable, funny, and charming performances. Superb lyrics from Mr. Shapiro (also, loved the book and music!). Michael Shapiro blends amazing wit, robot-level genius, (see how I did that?) and perfect rhyme and scansion. As a lyricist myself I have HUGE respect for his abilities!... full review

I love the topic that were bravely explored. This is a young writer with amazing passion. I can't wait to see what she will bring to the world in the future. I applaud her fearlessness and can't wait to see what is next for her!... full review

The Last PowerPoint

Still waters run deep in this wacky, brilliant, charming, funny-as-hell solo show. This artist may fool you with his affable smile, his boyish good looks, his rhythmic and ridiculous dance moves, and that mop of amazing copper penny hair. What you need to know about the last PowerPoint is that the guy who brings us the ridiculous is actually informing us about some deeply thought-out constructs about the corporate jungle. ... full review

DROUGHT

Kate Radford is a revelation. Her one-woman show is emotional, gorgeous, specific, lyrical and intense. She blends intelligent prose and rhyme with a fabulous and deeply melodious use of voice. It was hypnotic and really almost mystical. I highly recommend this show. ... full review

The Flower Society

This play bravely takes on a VERY important subject that is being totally ignored. I applaud this creative team for bringing this play to the Fringe. One has only to drive a street away from the venue to see this play in reality everyday. I think theatre at its best tackles the important subjects of the day. Kudos to The Flower Society!... full review

Real, intense, comic, heart-wrenching and brave as hell. Marnie Olson cracks open her psyche and lets us inside. Relatable and courageous, this is one writer I want to know. Olson and director, Jennifer Chun are amazing humans and this work shows us that they are woke and paying attention--and not afraid to go for it creatively. ... full review

Jamba Juice: The Musical

This is a clever and fun show. Sweet and fun songs, some big laughs, and a cute cast with high energy. Spencer Frankeberger is a talented and clever writer and performer. Frankeberger and his two partners have really hit on a fun idea with a lot of potential. I hope this trio continues to work together on other musicals in the future. ... full review
