Brendan Scannell: The Abyss

katie baker · June 16, 2026 certified reviewer
Brendan’s piercing blue eyes are a window into his…submersible. Go deep with Brendan, allow yourself to laugh loudly, and cry freely. Brendan builds up to a very vulnerable and emotional climax, only to release the tension right when you need to be saved. Over and over again. It’s a stand up set with a three act structure and character development, unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Go see this show with your friends, and chase it down with a dirty martini, good conversation and a hug. ... full review

Banana Man LIVE

The kind of art that makes me not only want to create more art myself but reminds me just how powerful art can be. I could start listing out all the little things I loved (the pronunciation of straw-ba-berry will live in my head rent free for the rest of time, for example) but I'd just be listing out pretty much the entire show. ... full review

RADICAL ACTS with Ramón: Tomfoolery, Grief and Whimsy

riley smith · June 16, 2026 uncertified reviewer
Ramón is punk rock. He is funny but he is also brave, radical, and inspiring. I always learn something at his shows and he makes me feel like I can continue to resist instead of getting depressed and giving up. A must see for anyone who wants to make a change or find a light in these dark times... full review

Strange Beings

This is a solid show. Great writing, great acting, great set. It felt like an old twilight zone episode or a doctor who. It’s so hard to do sci-fi well and this show does a great job creating the space ship, creating the character relationships and taking you on an interesting emotional journey that makes you think about the strengths and weaknesses of human beings as a species.... full review

SO GOOD! Like a live action Search Party experience, Morpho sets you up with some terrible people saying horrible, yet hilarious things then takes you on an absurd, body horror filled, transformative journey. With hilarious performances from both actors and some really beautiful movement work from Jade, Morpho Dance Fitness eases you in with humor then smashes all expectations with some really simple effects as the metamorphosis begins. Once the costume REALLY enters into the equation (iykyk),... full review
