Awards For Hollywood Fringe 2021
2CENTS THEATRE’S LOOSE CHANGE AWARD
The Loose Change Award seeks a distinctive, out-of-the-box artistic vision that has injected their own “2 cents” into their HFF 2021 production.
BEST OF BROADWATER AWARD
“Best Of Broadwater” awards will be given out to a handful of productions at the Broadwater venue that exemplify the most bold, creative, dynamic and Foolish Fringe work during the festival.
FRINGE ABROAD
Through a partnership with the Gothenburg Fringe, the Hollywood Fringe Abroad Program provides a show exchange that celebrates the art that connects us globally.
This year we welcome a show from the Gothenburg Fringe program to our festival screens, and a show from the Hollywood Fringe will be awarded a place in the Gothenburg Fringe Festival’s digital prologue September 4th-7th.
HOLLYWOOD ENCORE PRODUCERS' AWARD
The Hollywood Encore Producer Awards represent the best of the Hollywood Fringe selected by venue producers, based on artistic merit, commercial potential and development interest. The extensions immediately follow the HFF21 and run a month in participating fringe venues. Shows receive valuable extensions giving them the opportunity for additional audience, press, awards and extensions.
This year we’re excited to be working with the NYC Encore Series in helping them select shows for their festival later this year.
SOARING SOLO SOCIAL IMPACT AWARD
The Soaring Solo SOCIAL IMPACT Award will be given on behalf of the Soaring Solo Community, a diverse collection of hundreds of Solo Artists from all over the globe of varying ages, races, ethnicities, gender expressions, sexual orientations, and physically and intellectually differently abled. As a committee of 6 members, we will be looking for a One Person Play that displays excellence in Solo Theatre while possessing a message that makes deeply needed, positive, and transformative social impact. We encourage BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, diversely abled artists, and anyone who has a solo story to share that aims to impact and improve the state of our world.
SOLO SPLASH AWARD
“Solo Splash Award” for female identifying artists with opportunity to perform at NAMBA Performing Arts Space in Ventura CA.
THE SPARE TIRE AWARD
The mission of Flat Tire Theatre Company is to develop new works, reimagine familiar stories, and present eclectic yet relatable theatre about the necessity to keep moving forward no matter what. Flat Tire is looking for First Year Fringe Participant shows that share in this mission for The “Spare Tire Award”. Flat Tire is also looking for shows that run on the collective power and energy of its ensemble to tell these stories of perseverance- whether it is through their art or the artists themselves. The “Spare Tire Award” is looking for 1st year Fringe participants who are, just as they once were, starting their Fringe journey in hopes to assist them in continuing to create their art- and provide the “spare tire” on this adventure of creating art in LA and in the Hollywood Fringe Festival for years to come.
