OFFICIAL WINNER OF THE HOLLYWOOD ENCORE PRODUCERS AWARD

For the past seven years improvisers Jordan Knapp, Patrick Steward & Thomas Steward have studied under the mentorship of original Groundling Suzanne Kent. In the spring of 2021, they found themselves coming out of the pandemic, after a year of zoom improv with no rehearsal space. Jonesing to get back on their improving feet they began to improv in Suzanne’s living room. Tonight, they’ll invite you inside the living room for an improvisational theater experience almost a decade in the making! Patrick Steward hails from Scottsdale, Arizona, and after moving to LA 8 years ago, he has become part of the LA comedy and theatre scenes. Patrick is Vice President of the LA-based sketch comedy group Elephant Department which just closed its first show of the year, “House of the Elephant,” at the Broadwater Theatre. Patrick received the 2019 NEW DISCOVERY Ticketholder award for his performance alongside George Mcgrath and Michael Churven in “Party of Two” at the Groundlings theatre. Patrick would like to thank his wonderful girlfriend Ashna, his family, and his friends for their never-ending encouragement and support. Thomas Steward hails from Scottsdale, Arizona, and after moving to LA 8 years ago, he has become part of the LA comedy and theatre scenes. Thomas is an award-winning playwright who has had his work produced in both California and Arizona. Most recently Thomas’ work has been seen at New Musicals Inc. in North Hollywood where he produced a dramatic reading of his political thriller reimagining of the King Arthur myth, “Violence and Revolt”. Thomas is also the founder and creative director of his own theatre company, The Pop-Theatre Company. Thomas would like to thank his wonderful girlfriend Madison, his family, and his friends for their never-ending encouragement and support. Jordan Christine Knapp is a native to California. Beyond ‘proving with the twins, Knapp co-runs a theatre company, Raccoon’s Milk. She was dubbed “Best Supporting Actress” at the 2019 Catalina Film Festival for her performance in “8”. Lately, she can be seen at festivals with “Tomorrow”, on a national Bud Light commercial (she really did carry those five beers), and in an episode of “FBI: Most Wanted”. Knapp is a lover of languages, cooking and one-liners. Jordan would like to thank her wonderful boyfriend _____, her family, and her friends for their never-ending encouragement and support. Suzanne Kent is one of the original members of the Groundlings company. She is also the creator and founding director of the Groundlings Sunday Company, which has been running for over 40 years. She is best known for her memorable appearances on “Taxi” as Angela Matusa and her stint as neighbor Mrs. Rene on “Pee-Wee’s Playhouse”. Penny Stinkers Improv Company can be seen performing regularly at the Groundlings G3 Stage, follow us on Instagram @pennystinkersimprov for show details.
