If you are interested in seeing a truly EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMER deliver what can best be described as a Masterclass Level Performance, then you've come to the right show! Combining the perfect amount of comedy, drama, tenderness, and heart, SMOTE THIS, just delivers a show worthy of ALL THE ACCOLADES, ENCORES, and APPLAUSE that are coming to Rodney Gardiner!!! I honestly cannot recommend the show strongly enough and hope that others will have a chance to see this show when it goes on to bigger and better (as it is most assuredly destined for both bigger and better)! BRAVO!!!...

I have been to the theater many times. At least 5 or 6 times and found this to be a show that I would call LIT. I would call it woke too but I am still not sure what that means. I said it wrong the other day so I don’t want to misspeak again. It reminded me very much like the movie Castaway as it is one man show as long as you don’t count the volleyball Wilson…although the actors head sort of looked like a volleyball as it is more round than the average person. I hope this doesn’t give him a complex. That is not my point.
Sometimes you see a show that changes your views and philosophies in life and that was this show. I was a believer in miracles and now I don’t…just like that. If you want to stop believing…this is the show for you.

Rodney isn't just one of the best performers in Fringe. He's one of the best performers I've ever seen. His years as a Shakespearean actor pair so tightly with his brilliant joke crafting, all of which are unblemished by anything on stage but himself - this is a masterclass in performance storytelling. Part preacher, part poet, all powerhouse. DO NOT MISS....

What a powerful one man show! Rodney shares a moving story about his childhood and upbringing as an undocumented black immigrant and his relationship to spirituality. Rodney generously shares with the audience a robust treasure chest of tender, rough, and bitter-sweet reflections that are simultaneously unique and utterly human. ...
