On a review board full of glowing superlatives this artist has genuinely earned them. A high octane feast of language, searing introspection, and intellectual gymnastics. THIS is why we go to theatre: to be branded, to get lost in someone else’s dream and be tattooed by an Absolute Moment. Some might say that Ben Moroski is at his peak with DOG but what I find to be an even greater accomplishment is that he’s ALWAYS writing/performing at this heightened level. He’ll accept nothing less of himself. He knows only one theatrical vernacular, and that is the parlance of Excellence. ... full review

Extraordinary writing and a beautifully crafted performance. At the edge of my seat, and at the edge of tears at times. A powerful look at addiction and the pull of that desire to go numb. ... full review

A gripping, vulnerable, and whip smart solo show. This is a wild, thrilling, and unforgiving RIDE from start to finish. Ben is a real wordsmith and knows how to use those words, and more importantly, the spaces in between to let us see into him and the discoveries and heartbreaks the character is undergoing. A refreshing and unforgettable dive into one man's struggle with depression, alcoholism, and toxic masculinity. ... full review

Genius. That's an over-used word, especially when doing reviews for art, but truly, DOG is brilliant. A raw, emotional, heart-breaking story with writing so beautiful and poetic I was in tears at the descriptions of football. I went in knowing Ben Morowski was genius. I left realizing he's going to simply get better every year.... full review

This show is soul work. It's dark. It travels down. It has some levity but ultimately it just... goes there. Which is satisfying in it's own right. I wouldn't necessarily want to spend time with the mess of this man in real life, but Ben's version of this character and his breakdown is arresting. ... full review
