Written and Directed by Nicholas Buda, It’s In Our Bones is an intimate experience, full of raw emotion, passion and nicely accented with unexpected comedy beats. The cast is small but mighty, delivering close to an hour of juicy human drama while teasing some of the story’s more supernatural elements. Gabriella Gonzalez Biziou gripped me from the start. Her eyes in particular told a whole story onto themselves. She’s soon joined on stage by Verity Van Dams, who’s turn in a silent scene where her character makes certain discoveries proves how compelling of a performer they truly are. Both actors have wonderful physicality that draws you in, further enhancing the scenes of dialogue they share with one another. Rounding out the cast is ... full review

When I first walked into the Theater I was impressed with the Set Design. Impossible to ignore. A great use of a space and they certainly knew it. The hour went by quickly. The writing and actors kept me engaged and wanting to know what was next. I saw a lot of tears and red eyes from the very outset . Very believable. Its was an extremely dramatic drama.... full review

For only being 45 minutes, the raw emotions and dis function was immediately evident. As the characters continued to reveal themselves and their experiences the anger and rage was clear, but you could still see the deep underlying love these sisters had for one another. They wanted to be understood by each other and maybe even receive acknowledgment which would give them validation. The story left me wanting to know more (..in a good way). I felt left to interpret what actually happened to their brother and Duke’s involvement. Was a genuinely carrying out his friends wish or did he too believe the folklore. ... full review

A compelling and complicated portrayal of a fraught relationship between sisters. The intersection of the very grounded and material struggles between the sisters with the more folkloric magical realism was really special. ... full review
