Captures perfectly the stiflingly rigid and suffocating gender roles that women were forced to conform to in this period, as well as the despair and rage that lurked just underneath their pasted on Stepford smiles.... full review

Kick Boom Theatre’s previous production, SCARLETT FEVER, made my list for the Ten Best L.A. theatre shows of the 2018-19 season, the ONLY Fringe show to do so that year. I think I'm gonna have to reserve a spot for HOUSEWIFE in 2022.... full review

This is a painstaking work of art. A stylized and concise display of the conformity and repetition you would expect in the rigid life of a housewife of that era. The dancers perform with laser precision, the voices deliver perfect harmonies, even the chant-like repetition of the spoken dialogue is like an oppressive kind of spoken word poetry. The overall effect is beautiful and poignant.... full review
