The intimate setting was a perfect location for this timely re-visit to the social satire created by Tom Lehrer during the Cold War years of my childhood when "duck and cover" drop drills were part of our everyday lives. While laughing along with the audience from start to finish, I also learned about Lehrer's other talents, including being a Mathematics professor, a career he longed to return to for its predictability and stability as opposed to the uncertain aspects of his life as a standup comic whose "sick" sense of humor back then was often compared to that of Lenny Bruce. But now, it seems all the more normal to talk about as well as laugh about such things.... full review

What a fun show! What a well crafted way to bring us a story and the music of Tom Lehrer. Allan's delivery as Tom is comedic gold!... full review

Murray does not clutter the stage with excessive biographical tidbits, rather he chooses, wisely, to fill his stage time with a tasty medley of Lehrer’s toe tapping seditious tunes.... full review

Do yourself a favor and go see Allan Murray playing Tom Lehrer. He gives a brilliant performance of Tom Lehrer’s life. Allan is talented and funny. He has a quick wit that doesn’t let opening night glitches have an impact on his show at all. It was a great way to begin live theater again. ... full review

Amazing show. A great comedic romp through the life of Tom Lehrer. A guy I knew little about before seeing this show. Allan Murray crushes it. All the songs were hysterical and there was not a dull spot in the show. Great voice work by whoever was playing his agent as well. Can't recommend this show enough. Murray tickles the ivories and your funny bone. ... full review

I think it was flawless. He needs more space to move around . The format was perfect and his timing is excellent. I could have sat through a second performance immediately after. A larger venue windows h air conditioning would be a plus. As an adult Oder adult when knows Lehrers work I was surprised to see so Many young people. It a number were personal friends. How can we make Lehrer mod familiar so people who love can’t me see Alan’s artistry?... full review
