Candace Carnicelli delivers a very important performance that weaves between global and American history, personal narrative, and poignant insights. Underlying her themes, her message centers on peace and love. She works out these seeming big ideas through a very effective use of documentary footage, historic photos, recorded music, her own singing, humor, and storytelling. And, she does this huge task, effortlessly and seemingly with ease. ... full review

This show was terrific. Candace shocked us with a most angelic singing voice interspersed with her other characters including those out to pummel her in a boxing ring. This was edutainment at its best.... full review

There have been quite a few politically charged shows at HFF19, but this one is unique among them. It tells the story of the nonviolence movement started by Mahatma Gandhi and perfected by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It is told in story and song, and will stay with you long after the final bow. ... full review
