Meg, Jo, Beth, Amy & Louisa is a feast for anyone who loves Louisa May Alcott.--but it's not just for Alcott fans. I think there are many things to love in this show for anyone who attends. I am still thinking about this fascinating and original show and wondering at the beautifully seamless combination of storytelling about one of my favorite author's lives with a contemporary and comedic twist. It's a wonderful evening of theatre for anyone who wants to see originality, comedy, story, and a group of actors who love what they are doing. Their pure joy was completely contagious. ... full review

As someone who read "Little Women" as a child, I really liked watching this play for the ways the story "explained" the parts of the book's plot that bothered me when I was a kid. It was a very enjoyable experience!... full review

Excellent. There are quite few elements at play here and all of them combine seamlessly into a show that is hard to describe without spoiling the surprises in store. Needless to say the performances were delightful, the story well-developed without feeling bloated, and the technical (and other) elements were an unexpected treat! *Quick Clarification* I have never read any of the Little Women books. This is important both because it didn't prevent me from thoroughly enjoying this production, but also because had I read them I may not have suffered the confusion referenced below. ... full review

If you know the plot of "Little Women", bring tissues. Meg Jo Beth Amy & Louisa is such a fun and real portrayal of the creative process: bringing characters to life and using their stories to work out your own struggles. It was beautifully portrayed and excellently written. ... full review

Firstly, this is no simple retelling of Little Women but a reinvention of that story as a lens through which we explore the author herself, and how a writer can reach out to others by writing "what they know". Of course, how a writer disguises their own trials, pains, triumphs and losses is often a mystery. Unraveling the mystery of Ms Alcott is uproarious fun. Without question one of this year's best Fringe shows. The team behind this production, Tier 5, also produced the best international production 2 years back. Once again, they bring a degree of craft, artistry, and inspired enthusiasm sorely lacking in most other shows I've seen over the years here in LA. Hilary Kelman leads a fully committed ensemble cast that takes charge of the s... full review

As someone who hasn't read Little Women before this was such a fun fast paced piece that brought a little more insight into Louisa's storytelling. It had a feeling of Becoming Jane, with a different story. Hilary Kelman (Louisa) was a beautiful anchor to a story that can be overwhelming but thanks to Kelman's gravitas and honesty, gave the audience something to hold on to. It has given me more of an interest to read Little Women.... full review
