#ChanceItLA Jane Austen’s Emma Frankenstein is a fun show from start to finish. The script relies on kitsch and novelty, sprinkling just enough of it in to keep the audience entertained, and then relies on what people already know of Austen and Mary Shelley’s characters for everything else. FYI - even if you’re only familiar with one of Austen’s works, you’ll be fine. For the full review please visit the See It or Skip It website. Link below.... full review

We loved the fact that they don’t take themselves too seriously, but know how to deliver a show that is fun for the sake of fun without the necessity of having to say anything. The use of 80’s sitcom theme songs, and the amazing cast of mashed-up characters make this one of the most fun times we have had at Fringe. The special guest cameo by French Stewart didn’t hurt either. ... full review

Holy S***! Not what I was expecting. AT ALL! And that's a very good thing. I'm a huge Shelley fan and was so pumped to see this production. What I didn't expect was a brilliant, laugh-out-loud, fall out of your seat musical about Austen and Shelley going at it over their works! The choice of songs in this musical really make it work. And to say the performances weren't killer would be an understatement! I loved how they fashioned this story and used Austen as the storyteller. It was perfect! This is easily one of my Top 5 of this year's Fringe and I think it's easily one of the best musicals we've seen here. Well done!... full review
